Yesterday I attended a local Fitbloggin’ meetup in the East Bay that was hosted by Marlene. She was able to get us some goodies from Silk Fruit & Protein, Attune Foods and others.
It was a potluck brunch so I made some WW friendly country fried potatoes. I was in for a treat at this meet up. Here’s a list of the ladies in attendance and what they prepared:
Marlene - our host not only provided Silk Fruit & Protein and Attune products but she also made these wonderful mini-mini pancakes and pomegranate mimosas. Yum!
Shannon - she brought some raw brownie bites & rhubard cake that were so yummy. I’m always hesitant to try “raw” food but I need to get over that. They were delish!
Sarah - she brought a WW friendly spinach quiche which was good but by the time I tried it I was already full and wasn’t able to finish it. I hope she posts the recipe… hint hint :)
Deb - I have to say that I think her Paleo friendly Greek Meatza was the talk of the meetup. It was SO SO GOOD! I think if I had tried that first that’s all I would’ve had it was that good.
After eating and chatting, Deb had a demo on resistance band training which I was really looking forward to. The bands she brought were from Bodylastics & I think I am going to purchase some in the near future. She showed us proper form and different exercises to work different parts of our bodies. She even demonstrated a Turkish Get Up which blew my mind.
It was a great day meeting new people and thanks to Marlene for having us over and Deb for the great demo.
4 things I did well: Listened to my body & took a rest day. I feel so much better & am ready to crush it tomorrow at the gym. I tracked my food. I indulged a bit at dinner but I don’t feel guilty. I drank a lot of water. I worked towards putting my plan in place for one of the selfless tasks as part of the Do Life Challenge. Food p0rn = roasted garlic & parmesan soup, side order of Mac & cheese (only had 1/2 since I wasn’t that great), truffle french fries & sidecar cocktail (only had half as well)
Never thought of putting this ingredients together. Yum!
