Today was a two workout kind of day. I promised ya’ll yesterday that I would work out & I did. Twice.I did some Zumba at home this morning & then I went to the gym. Incline treadmill for 30 minutes (varying incline between 3% & 10%) and then I got on the recumbent bike for 30 minutes. I am going to sleep so good tonight.
I tried a new recipe to go along with the Baked Grains Pilaf I made again. I am hooked on them. I made a California Grilled Chicken Avocado & Mango salad. Yum!
Day 9 of eating clean was a success.
Total WW PP+ for the day = 36 (Daily allowance of 46)
Total Activity Points for the day = 14 (Weekly goal of 40)
Thank you to the creator of the measuring cup. Without it, I would not have been able to enjoy a serving of this amazing ice cream guilt free.
Did a solid hour of exercise (day 8 of BCC) and it felt good to be active again. I think taking two days off helped my back. My goal for the remaining of the month is to work out every day.
Aerobic Dance Class:
Boot Camp:
I also made a simple & delicious side dish (balsamic asparagus & carrots) for dinner. I think on Friday I am going to attempt to make some potato nachos.
Day 5 of the Boot Camp Challenge. This day was longer & a bit more difficult but I completed it. I also decided to try a new cardio program from the Fitness channel on cable.
Boot Camp:
Aerobics Class:
I haven’t been very hungry all day long but I know that I need to eat to keep my metabolism going. Tonight I am going to make these post workout granola bars.
And in case you are wondering, today is the 8th day in a row that I work out. Hoo-aah!
Weighed in this morning & I lost 1.1 pounds for a total loss of 93.1. Wheee! I actually weighed in on Friday morning and I had lost 2 pounds so I was disappointed to see that the number had lowered. This week I did track points rather than calories and looking at my food log I did eat more that the week before. I even went over my points in two days. This week I will be tracking calories and working out and see how I do. But right now my gut tells me to take a break from WW and stick to counting calories.
Speaking of working out, I decided that I am going to see how many days in a row I can work out. I have worked out every day since Thursday so I am already on a 5 day streak. This week I did the second day of the Boot Camp Challenge workout (18 days total) and did some kettlebell exercises.
Two-Arm Kettlebell Swing:
One-Arm Kettlebell Snatch:
Front Barbell Squat:
Boot Camp:
I will also commit to 4 days of either walking at least 5k or cardio. My arms and thighs are BURNING but it’s a good kind of burn. I looked at the day 2 program and thought it looked easy. I was wrong. I could barely lift the blender glass after I made my smoothie as my arms are in pain.
Walking:
0:50:14 || 3.1 mi || 16:12.3 min/mi (+142 pts)
I just signed up to Fitocracy this week so if you want an invite, let me know.
I’ve seen a couple of “4 things” post where people feel like their 4 things are repetitive. If I can repeat the first 3 bullets every day that would be awesome. It means I am sticking to a routine and being healthy which I think is the point of this process. It’s taking your long term goal (losing weight) making it a short term goal (8 pounds a month) and working every day towards it.
