Expo for the SF Marathon. If my knee behaves, I’ll be racing on Sunday for the progressive marathon. While there, I signed up for The Giant Race 5K in August. I freaking love the medal.

Also, who buys bread at an expo? I do! Dave’s Killer Bread had a booth & their Sin Dawg Organic Cinnamon Roll is amazing.

The “fun” was missing from this 5k run due to…

• Poor food choices during the week
• Lack of workouts
• Disappointing course - was under the impression that we would be running next to the Russian river & vineyards. Instead we ran in a very hilly neighborhood.
• High fucking winds

But the worst thing was my bad attitude which just adds to this craptacular week. Sigh…

Ready…set…go? It’s so freaking cold. #cloverdaleharvestrun #5k (at Cloverdale Citrus Fairgrounds)

PR by 1:56. Hell yeah!

I also ran my first 14 minute mile (14:48)

Progressive marathon completed.

My fastest 5K was in May with a time of 51:20. Today I walked/jogged it & my time (according to Runkeeper) was 49:15.

Whoo mutha effin’ hoo!

See Jane Run 5K done.

My previous 5K I walked in 53:07. Today my time was 51:20.

Aaaaaaand… I ran like 30 seconds of it. Say what?!?!

Thanks all for the feedback on the elliptical. The gym was crowded this morning & I wasn’t able to get one. I did do 45 minutes of incline treadmill & 30 minutes on the recumbent bike.

Tomorrow will be an early day as I have a 5K in the morning. With tomorrow’s 5K, that will be 5 days of working out this week. Woot!

Eating wasn’t 100% clean (more like 90%) but I feel that I did my best. That makes it day 12 of eating clean.

While at the expo this weekend, I signed up for the Giant Race 5K in September. I originally wanted to sign up for the 10K but it was sold out. I was bummed and then I was amazed at myself that I was bummed that I couldn’t sign up for a 10K. What am I turning into? Whatever it is, I think I like it.

When I was filling out the form, it asked me to fill in a time for it and I put 45 minutes. Now my fastest 5K time (not counting the treadmill) has been 53:07 which was the Davis 5K in November. On the treadmill my fastest 5K time is 49:19. Why I chose 45 minutes is beyond me but the challenge has been set and I accept. If I can continue to lose weight and continue to work out, I am confident that I can reach that goal.

I also have other races coming up this summer which will keep me motivated to work out:

Do Life 5K in SF - July 10th

The Color Run in SF - July 14th

San Francisco Progressive Marathon - July 29th (my reward for reaching a 100 pound loss so I have yet to register).

July is going to be a busy month.

The last time I walked on the treadmill was almost a month ago (4/14). It wasn’t my fastest time but I pushed myself today. My body feels like it wants to run but I’m so scared to try so then I start to slow down. WTF right? Holy red face! Activity points earned - 7

I looked at Runkeeper & the last time I worked out was March 17. Yikes! Not my best time but I did it. One day down & three more days to go this week. Why do I always forget how good I feel after I work out?
