I’m verified! I need to lose 11.7 pounds to win back my $25 and then some. This is the second DietBet I’ve joined & I plan to do things differently to be successful this time around.
One: I’m actually going to try. Last DietBet I was all fired up and then a couple of days into I gave up. The amount that I needed to lose seemed to be too much & I didn’t give it a fair chance. I quit.
Two: Going to change up my eating habits. I will still continue to follow WW but my goal is to lower the amount of processed food I eat mainly in the snacks area. Snacks should be fruits or veggies or something which ingredients i can actually pronounce. I tend to go for convenience rather than nutrition. I’m also going to watch my carb intake and concentrate on more fats & proteins so that they keep me fuller longer.
Three: I’m going to exercise. Like duh huh! It just so happens that two days before this DietBet ends is when I have to run my progressive marathon (23.1 in training & 5K on race day). I have to have proof that I did my miles so I need to get started sooner rather than later. I’m also intrigued in the Runner’s World Run Streak - one mile every day from Memorial Day to Independence Day. I admire people like Josh & Nava who run every day or commit to a streak and follow it.
Four: no more #yolo #treatyoself meals except for my birthday. I can do that for 4 weeks…right?
That’s my plan — to see this bet through. I’m tired of feeling lethargic, fat & sad. I’m tired of feeling my clothes be tight. I’m tired it of not seeing progress. I’m just tired of being tired of being in a situation that I’ve put myself in. I know I’ve had many “fresh starts” but I’m hoping that this bet & how I’m feeling right now will be enough to help me succeed & fight for my right to feel/be healthy & fit.
