That's what life should be all about...

Oh yeah, I also am trying to lose weight with Weight Watchers & hope to one day be able to call myself a runner.

Walking:

  • 0:51:03 || 3.1 mi || 16:30 min/mi (+139 pts)

I worked out today & tracked all of my food. It’s 10:35 pm & I am starving but I know that I shouldn’t be so I am keeping busy by catching up on my dashboard & drinking tea. Do you ever have one of those days where you want to eat everything in sight? That has been me for the past two days but I haven’t gone over my daily calorie/point allowance.

I was reading this article about why one shouldn’t hold on to the treadmill. I do it when I increase my speed or if I feel like I can’t keep up with the treadmill. But I didn’t realize that it may be harming me more than benefiting me. I didn’t know that it could:

  • Ruin my posture & body alignment
  • Reduce calories burned
  • Reduce effects of incline
  • Cheats the lower back out of doing work, weakening these important core muscles

I had no idea! I am basically going to change how I workout on the treadmill. Gaining speed is my long term goal while endurance & proper walking should be my priority.

The more you know…
